Lab Supervisor - Oil Seeds Processing

Company is engaged in procuring, processing, marketing and transporting of oilseeds, grains and related products. The Company's businesses include soybean processing, vegetable oil refining, renewable fuels, ag products/grain, and international businesses.
Company is looking for a detail-oriented, motivated individual to supervise the lab and quality assurance employees. This is an excellent opportunity for a leader who has lab and food safety experience. Achieve high quality standards by monitoring the plant's conformity to customer specifications in processing, finished product integrity, and food safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise daily quality control & quality assurance activities through training employees, determining methods for employee work, scheduling, and conducting employee performance appraisals.
Direct and prioritize the implementation of experimental projects through coordination with project management.
Prepare various quality control/assurance reports including recommendations for improvements, corrections, or modifications.
Assist plant management and customers' auditors in investigation and corrective action for customer quality complaint and non-conformance issues.
Manage food safety and ensure that all products and processes are meeting the guidelines for food safety.

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of chemistry and laboratory testing techniques and procedures is required.
Knowledge of supervisory techniques to accomplish training, instruction, and motivation of employees is needed.
Skill in negotiation, conflict resolution and problem solving is needed as is experience in technical report writing.
Experience in oil seeds processing; refining and manufacturing industry is a plus.
A successful candidate will have knowledge of mathematical principles, including but not limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in the applied sciences (biology, physics, chemistry, or food science) is required.
5 to 10 years of supervisory experience in quality control and assurance is necessary.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
